Volvo XC40 Recharge Overview
Volvo has unveiled its XC40 Recharge this month. The big news is it’s Volvo’s first all-electric car that they’re bringing to India. They are going to start taking bookings in June, and deliveries are going to be in October.
The even bigger news is that in less than a decade, the entire Volvo range is going to be all-electric. They are going to be phasing out IC engines altogether, that was a plan globally to do it in 2030. but Volvo India says they’ll do it even faster in India. That’s some ambition which is quite a bold statement.

Volvo wants to take the lead on Sustainability. And to do that, this is their first car, the Volvo XC40 recharge. Let’s take a quick look at what this offers.
Volvo XC40 Recharge Performance
It’s an SUV it is built on the same platform as Volvo XC40. It has got a four-wheel drive, it’s got two motors, one driving each axle. The total horsepower is 408 horsepower. So it gives you a 0 to 100 kph time of under 5 seconds. Something which is quick off the mark a lot of electric SUVs is that quick.
The other talking point is that the range is about 418 kilometers. Again in ideal conditions. So, in real-world conditions, 300 kilometers plus should be possible. It’s got a 78-kilowatt-hour battery, so that is quite a big battery, of course.
Volvo XC40 Recharge Price
The price has not yet been announced. But we expect this to be in the region of around 60 lakhs Rupees. Well or maybe a little bit more. Now, if Volvo can nail the pricing. This car price would be competitive. That is not too much different from the petrol XC40. They should have some takers. But overall, this is really a very interesting EV in the sense that it is quite compact. It is quite fast, and it has got a decent range.
Volvo XC40 Recharge Interior
Let’s have a quick look at the interiors. So, the interior pretty much like the standard XC40 or the petrol-driven XC40, or the diesel XC40. The Interior layout is identical you’ve got the vertically oriented touchscreen all-digital instrumentation. You’ve got these vertical vents. Everything is really vertically oriented. Nice little touch in the insert in the dashboard.
Very comfortable seats Volvos always have comfortable seats. For the cars big, or small XC40 no exception altogether. And what’s interesting here you’ve got a whole bunch of features. You can vary the stiffness of the steering, or the steering feels you’ve got soft, standard heavy.
Conclusion
Interestingly you have got one pedal drive which really changes the regen. So the more, they, regen the more one pedal drive you can do. And you even got a creep function here which you can switch on and off. So lots and lots of features and functions. Volvo XC40 recharge release date is going to be in a mid of June. now cannot wait to drive this car when it goes on sale in October.
